WELCOME NEW MEMBERS!!Club Business:Each year, prior to November 30, the membership receives a voting ballot along with a renewal form and schedule of events for the coming year. There are nine members elected to the Board of Directors with a three year term of office The terms are staggered so that three new members are elected each year. Each Board member is limited to two successive terms. In order to retain persons with skills critical to operation of the Board, the Board may appoint ex officio members to serve on the Board without vote. After the election, the Board votes for its new President and Vice President. The remaining Board members, according to their skills, are then appointed by the President. The Board meets the first Thursday of each month. Your inputs to any Board member are welcomed. Hole-in-One Fund:The Fund provides a $100 award to be taken as a credit to the Pro-shop or the upstairs DeLaveaga Lodge. Tournaments:To provide greater tournament interest, we have added a variety of play formats. The Tournament Champions' Dinner (for last year's winners) is held on the Saturday evening prior to or following the SuperBowl Tournament (see schedule of events.) This event, featuring numerous door prizes, is held annually at the DeLaveaga Lodge. Typical prizes are golf accessories, range balls, bottles of wine, lunches, dinners, and more. The last year's tournament winners are invited as paid guests, but all members and their family/guests are welcome. Projects:Members previously installed, with the assistance of the Course Maintenance Staff, a compressed-air shoe cleaning station at the 18th hole. The Golf Course Maintenance Staff (Parks & Recreation Department) replaced the aging wooden stairway to the Club BBQ area with a new cement stairway, a new wood railing and new outside wood picnic tables/benches. Membership:The Club membership includes men, women and Juniors. New members pay $100 (new Seniors pay $80) the first year and $85 the following year. Renewing Senior members (60+) pay a reduced rate of $75, while Juniors (under 18) pay only $15. (See "How to Join" on the Index page) Associate memberships ($75) are extended to DeLaveaga Pacific Women's Golf Association (PWGA) members.
